Cortona Village Heights is a meticulous and lovingly restored Hamlet (small village known as Borgo di Vagli) nestled in the Tuscan hills.
It’s a 20-minute drive from busy piazzas, family-run trattorias, wine bars and art galleries in the popular hilltop Tuscan town of Cortona. It’s also within easy driving distance of many of Tuscany’s famous historical cities and sites. This 600-year-old enclave is alive and thriving and ready to welcome you. The Hamlet has been restored by a team of skilled workers whose efforts preserved much of its original feel, atmosphere and charm, without compromising modern day comforts.
On-site facilities include Reception (Italian, English and Spanish spoken), shared laundry facilities, a mini-market that sells local specialty products and food, and a convenient car park. Also offered to our guests:
Concierge: The hamlet Concierge is happy to assist you in making table reservations, booking tickets for museums, concerts, festivals and wine tours, directing you to local markets, and fulfilling any special requests.
Trattoria: Housed at the base of the 14th-century guard tower, the Trattoria is lit solely by candles. Here, guests from around the world gather to share tales of their daily explorations over a freshly prepared traditional Tuscan meal cooked in Dina’s wood burning oven and a wide selection of famous regional wines.
Swimming Pool (April-October): An inviting 66-foot (20-meter) outdoor, heated swimming pool graces the top terrace, providing the perfect place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the area.
Olive terraces: Escape to one of 15 terraces that outlay the hillside for a relaxing afternoon with a good book, a nap in the sun, or a quiet conversation over a glass of locally produced wine.
Circular walking & hiking paths: During your stay, you can enjoy the natural beauty of the surrounding protected area by exploring eight circular walking and hiking paths that vary in difficulty and distance.
